Cultural Attributes As Tourist Attractions in Korea

The study results determine the tourists’ perception of Korean cultural attractions under estimate their contribution when undertaking cultural tourism promotion and policy in the region. It ultimately formulates to assist in the development of concrete programs for the region. The data for the study were gathered from interviews with 171 tourists who completed a questionaire for fifteen items which were determined as representative of the range of cultural tourist attractiveness in the tourist region. The difference of perceived level on different cultural attractions were identified across different given circumstances. The measure concerning the relative importance of attributes were designed so as to contain ordinal scales related the same variables. The data were analyzed using standard ANOVA to determine if in fact such differences existed among persons from different circumstantial environments such as socio-demographic and travel characteristics. The study found that there was differences between the respondents’ travel choice behavior and different travel destinations. The study results that there was a strong association or relationship between travel behavior and different circumstantial environments. From the tourists perspective, the attractiveness of an area depends upon the tourists preference and perception, therefore, the attractiveness of an area in the future largely rests upon the way we develop the area.
