A Study on Development of Cultural Tourism Attractions based on Dosun and Feng-Shui Theory

According to the growth of cultural tourism market, researches on cultural attractions influencing tourist’s decision-making have gradual1y increased. Dosun was a very famous priest who made the theory of feng-shui first in our country. Dosun disciplined Buddhism for 35 years at the Okryong temple of Kwangyang city. This study aimed to find the ideas for the development of cultural attractions and to suggest the strategy for the development of cultural attractions in Kwangyang city. Main strategies for developing cultural tourism attraction are as follows: supply side has to develop (1) core theme to satisfy cultural tourist (2) theme complex area to compound various cultural and historical factors (3) virtual reality system in order to communicate experience on historical reality for tourist (4) event and package tour adopting cultural factors: lastly. (5) monitoring system specially on relationship of tourist, cultural tourism attraction and information about cultural tourism attraction.
