The tourist trade of Naju city in its present condition shows Naju’s lack of interest as a central tourist attraction since 1997. In 1998 the tourist rate began to increase because of the interest in Naju’s historical temples and the Bannam’s tombs. This indicates the growing concern for cultural assets and national treasures in this area. The purpose of this research is to develop Naju’s cultural tourist trade and establish an image of Naju as a historical tourism city. The development of cultural tourism resources should produce on a commercial scale tangible cultural assets to improve the historical sites and increase the tourist trade as well as to preserve the historical areas. In order to fulfill these tasks, it is necessary to develop cultural resources and assets to maintain all historical areas such as fortress, pavilions, temples and tombs, and utilize local temples as spiritual, moral and cultural foundations.
