The objective of this research is to determine the issues related to the internal hotel restaurant management conflicts espcially between front line employees and back stage employees. In addition, it is the purpose of this research to measure the level of inter-departmental disputes within different hotel divisions and to offer an effective solution to managing these inter-departmental conflicts. In order to accomplish our research objective, we, firstly, have established non-managerial level employees of food & beverage department and food preparation department of top-class hotels in the Seoul area as our subject base. Secondly, we propose to study our subject base in order to determine cause & effect of inter-departmental conflicts as presented in our research.
