The Study of Revised Romanization of Korean on Tourism Signboard

After many implemented systems of the romanization of Korean alphabet, We couldn’t have it found out any real good systems of it. for the articulational differences of vowel and consonant systems between Romance language and Korean. At last, Culture and Tourism Department of Korea have revised in recent time the Romanization of Korean and declared its revision at the 7th of July in 2000. The merits of this revised Korean Romanization is too much applied to the unified rule as one word has one phonem. demerit of it is too much emphasis on the assimilation or palatization and phoneticism in disregard of orthography, CVCV (consonant and vowel) rule, and two-fold vowels. For example, Seoul, Seongnam city, etc. I, dare, say that this study will help to make another good plans in the near future.
