A Study of Industry and Academic Cooperation for Growth of Hotel Industry

The main purpose of study was to analyze the problems and improvement solutions of industrial and academic cooperation for hotel industry. University research was human resource and hotel industry in tourism industry. Though cooperative education students build a bridge between theory and practice by working in a position that is directly related to their major field. We must investigate the education and find an effective approach to industrial and academic cooperation. The result of the study on the development of the tourism education programs in hotel industry are briefly summarized as follows: First, human resources development in tourism industrial cooperation was system difficult because of theory and actual training at a university. Second, the construction of the bridging program between tourism education institutions should be revitalized. Third, to survive in this global competitive activities, speaking foreign languages will be fostered by tourism education. According to educational goals sand characteristics for tourism education development, the linkage of tourism programs in colleges are vary important factors in tourism industry. Finally, on top of that, some useful measures should be taken as such: The improved educational programs, appropriate curriculum, proper supervision for the trainees, correlation with school learning and on the job training.
