A Study on The Improvement of English Signs and Guide Boards for Foreign Tourists

This thesis is intended to identify errors and problems of English signs and guide boards for foreign tourists and to propose the plans for the improvement. By this time, foreign tourists have experienced inconveniences while visiting Korea and travelling to sightseeing places because of poor translations and abbreviations on English signs and guide boards designed for foreign tourists. Therefore, we have to improve current system to adjust and control English signs and guide boards for foreign tourists. In conclusion, we will attract many foreign tourists and show our tradition and beauty to them by developing more efficient English sign system.
