The Study on International Trends of the Green Barrier and South Korea ‘Green Growth’ Policy

Because of extreme weather conditions coupled with global warming people have begun paying more attention to environmental issues. One could no longer ignore the environment, and people are starting to solve the problem through international cooperation. The global community, however, gives priority to the profit of its own country and do not take steps to protect the environment to the extent of making sacrifices for themselves. In the current circumstance the Republic of Korea has announced a policy called “Low Carbon Green Growth.” The policy is about to become an important strategy governing the future of Korea that helps support environmental and economic growth simultaneously. Therefore, this study attempts to suggest alternative ways to bring about success of the ‘Low Carbon Green Growth’ policy of Korea.
