본 연구는 취학전 뇌성마비아동의 어머니를 대상으로 부모교육을 실시한 후 어머니와 아동의 의사소통행동 및 아동의 말명료도에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 부모교육프로그램은 총 10회기로 집단교육 7회기와 개별비디오 피드백 3회기로 이루어졌다. 프로그램의 내용은 부모교육의 필요성, 뇌성마비의 특성 이해하기, 상호작용촉진 전략, 자세 바로 하기 등으로 구성하였다. 부모교육을 통한 효과를 측정하기 위해 반복측정 윌콕슨 부호 순위 검정(repeated Wilcoxon signed ranks test)을 사용하여 어머니와 아동의 의사소통행동과 아동의 말명료도를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 의사소통형태에서 어머니의 요구적형태는 감소하였고, 반응적 형태는 증가하였으며, 아동의 요구적 형태는 증가하여 유의한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 어머니와 아동의 상호작용은 아동의 개시반응에서 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 셋째, 어머니의 최적반응은 언어학적 연결에서 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 넷째, 아동은 단어수준의 말명료도에서 다소 차이를 나타내었다. 본 연구의 결과는 상호작용촉진 부모교육프로그램이 뇌성마비아동과 어머니와의 의사소통행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 보여주었다. 따라서 임상현장에서 보다 적극적으로 부모교육을 실시할 필요가 있다는 것을 제안할 수 있다.
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the parent training program which helps the children with cerebral palsy and their mothers on communicative abilities and speech intelligibility. Four preschool children with cerebral palsy and their mothers participated in the training program. This study method was performed as follows; Child/mother interaction during the play was videotaped before and after the program. The percentage of mother and children's communicative function, interaction, mother's optimal response, mother's utterances and MLU were analyzed. And children's speech intelligibility was examined via perceptual analysis of word and sentence stimulus. A total of 10 sessions was composed of 7 group and 3 individual sessions. The performances of all the subjects were analyzed by repeated Wilcoxon signed ranks test. The results of this study were as follows: There was a significant difference in children's and their mother's communication functions, children's interaction and the mother's optimal response. Our findings suggest that the parent training program is effective and helpful both children and their mother in increasing their interaction, communicative skills. Thus, parent training should be actively implemented in the field of speech-language clinics.
