중소형선 전용 부두 개발에 관한 연구

An Analysis of Port Competitiveness by the Region

선박의 대형화 추세에 따라 항만의 장비 및 시설 또한 대형화 추세에 있다. 부산항이 Hub-Port로서 Hub-Spoke 운영체제를 구축함에 따라 중소형선 선박의 기항횟수도 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 그러나 중소형 선박에 대한 고려는 간과되고 있는 실정이다. 항만 장비 및 시설의 대형화는 선사 측면에서는 높은 하역요금에 대한 부담, 운영사 측면에서는 수익성의 문제로 인해 선박 기피와 같은 현상을 가져올 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 중소형 선박의 전용 터미널 이용 시 한계점을 분석하고 중소형 전용부두 개발의 필요성에 대해 구체적으로 제시하고자 한다.

According to the development of large sized containerships, the equipment and facilities of terminals are also getting bigger. Busan port drives out the Hub&Spokes system as an hub port. Therefore, the number of smalls of the small and middle sized ships is steadily increasing and it is necessary to consider them. When the size of the equipment and facilities is large, it is possible for a port to lose customers. Because shipping companies need to pay more charges and terminal operators has risk related to profit. This paper analyzes the limits when the small and middle sized ships use a dedicated terminal and suggests the needs to develope dedicated terminals for them in detail.
