Park Wan-suh has produced a fiction "Mi-mang" besides his other works, which was written with the background of his hometown, Kae-sung. Other works such as "Who Had Eaten That Much Singa" a bildungsroman and written from his memory of the childhood, "Family" published in the short story collection Dubu, "The Old Days," and "A Story of Kae-sung People" are all written based on his experience in Kae-sung written with its own endemism. For a writer, it is crucial for himself to examine the connotations of his hometown. While the writer has knowledge in his mother language and his works are written in that language,he does more than simply learning the language. Within the process of starting and developing, he also examines the lifestyle of a family who has certain contributions for building up the base of this language, and the cultural history of current society reflected on social products. It is also the primary concern in the field of historical literature for a long time. Although his staying and living in Kae-sung was not long enough, considering the effect of the writer’s experience on his works, Kae-sung could be the most important footstone in Park Wan-suh’s literary world. In reality, the writer Park Wan-suh implies the influence of Kae-sung the spatial environment of his works - and the importance of its existence to his life and to his literary world in many of his works especially in causeries which are short but does strongly show his ideas.
