Introduction of Vapor Emission Control System

In this paper, the treatment system for cargo vapor from oil tanker is introduced. During loading process to empty cargo tank, cargo vapor is produced and the and the principal ingredient of cargo vapor is VOCs(Volatile Organic Compounds). According to the requirements of Regulation 15, Annex Vi, MARPOL, the VOCs from oil tanker shall be returned to shore facilities to treat safely. The shore facilities to treat cargo vapor is called vapor emission control system and the system shall be operated safely to avoid explosion. In this paper, the safe requirements of Korean Administration for vapor emission control system.
