The purpose of this study is to design the forming process of honeycomb seal for power generation turbine. Forming processes play an important role in metal part manufacturing. In this paper, the forming behavior of honeycomb seal based on finite element method is studied. As the increase of the utilization in automobile, aerospace and electrical fields, there has been a growing interest in the forming of honeycomb core. The part of the honeycomb is modeled using the commercial S/W, CATIA. The punching process is simulated using finite element code, DEFORM™-3D. The simulation results are reflected to the forming process design for the honeycomb core.
