맹자의 인간자율성의 근거와 天과의 상관관계

맹자는 인간을 보다 개인적이고 자유의지를 가진 인간으로 규명하였다. 일반적으로 유가철학이 하늘과의 상관관계에 있어서 천도와 천의 의지를 인간사에 개업시켜 인간의 의지가 닿지 않는 영역을 신비하게 상충시키고 있으나 맹자는 기존의 천론과는 구별된다고 할 수 있는 보다 경험적 측면으로 연결되는 삶과 천도를 연결시킨다. 맹자는 인성을 규정짓는 요소로 善을 타고난 본성으로 정의한다. 이 선한 인성性善은 인간이 원래부터 가지고 있는 마음으로서 생태부터 인간의 자율성으로 귀결될 수 있다. 즉 자기 자신에게서 구해질 수 있는 문제로 인간은 자유 의지적 인간으로 존재하는 이유가 된다. 맹자의 天은 전적으로 하늘이 모든 것을 주관하는 형태의 원시적 방식과 구별된다. 그는 天과 한몸인 人間이 하늘을 따름으로 天意와 人意가 상용한다고 보았다. 인간에게 내제된 善이 확충되고 우주적 경지로 확대되어 天道를 따르는 인간은 우주의 광휘로 빛나며 도덕의 인위적 실천이 인간의 심성 속에 내제된 善과 天이 하나로 융합된 경지를 이룬다. 본고에서는 이렇게 천지가 하나가 되는 근거를 인간의 주어진 내재적 동기에서 찾아 자발적 노력에 의해 선이 실현되어 하늘과 하나가 되는 원융의 경지를 보여준 맹자적 天에 대해 고찰하고자 한다. 맹자는 자율적이며 자발적인 개인의 인격에 대한 무한한 경지를 개척했으며, 天道의 人化로서 위대한 역량을 가진 인간의 존재 근거를 정의한데에 의의가 있다.

Mencius s examined closely by human who is more private and have intelligence of freedom human. Usually, Confucian philosophy links area that human’s will does not reach mysteriously interposing Tao of heaven and intention of haeven in human’s life in correlation with haeven. But, Mencius attaches life and way of Heaven that is linked for side experience enemy that is differentiated with theory of existent heaven. He defines by original nature that is born Virtue as element that define human nature. This Virtue is linked by human’s aistent hbeing born as intention that human has from original. In other words, human becomes reason that exist by free will human as problem that can find from myself. ith theorheaven is differentiated with primitive way of form that haeven manages everything entirely. He saw that will of heaven and will of human equal by human such as sky follows haeven. Human who line is expanded and follows way of Heaven is bright like universe and accomplishes condition that Virtue and heaven are conjoined. This thesis may investigate about Heaven of Mencius that show haeven and conjoined condition because meditation comes true by voluntary effort.
