The Chongpyungsa(淸平寺)-Stele has two records, on the front side and the other side. The first is the record of Chongpyungsan-Munsuwon(淸平山文殊院), which contains the Chongpyungsa history and the process of Lee Ja Hyun's entering the mountain, self-discipline, and death. The second is the funeral oration for Lee Ja Hyun. The stele is now broken, remaining only a few parts, but the content of the front side is known nowadays recorded on Dongmunsun(東文選), the other side content is also to be recognized with the favour of a few rubbed copies. Lee Ja Hyun succeeded Yúnmén-Wényean's(雲門文偃) Zen thoughts. This was the sect which Lee Ja Hyun and his disciples advocated. It can be indicated that the charater of Lee Ja Hyun's Zen thoughts who pursued the Buddhist devotee life was connected with the Yúnmén-sect Zen and the Confucius thoughts. The Taoist thoughts harmoniously contained in Yúnmén-sect were supposed to be succeeded to Lee Ja Hyun's Zen thoughts. This was confirmed by the fact that his disciples cited several phrases from Lao-Juang(老莊) texts. Their thoughts were naturally fused with the Lao-Juang thoughts.
