A Study on the Efficiency Measurement among Korea Logistics Enterprises

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the efficiency of the 9 companies of Korea Global Logistics by using DEA-CCR, DEA-BCC, and Malmquist models which come from DEA(Date Envelopment Analysis) model. This study tries to apply the Date Envelopment Analysis(DEA) model to the copetitive power of 9 companies of Korea global logistics for 6 years from 2005 to 2010 by using DEA-CCR, DEA-BCC, and Malmquist model. The empirical main results are as follows. First, that Pantos Logistics is found to be the most efficient from 2005 to 2010. This means Pantos Logistics takes advantage of scale and effective management compared to the other logistics enterprises. Second, the scale efficiency between 2005 and 2009 are lowered, especially, Dongbang Logistics and Sunkwang Logistics have shown the most inefficient. Therefore, two companies’ inputs should be shorten, and outputs increased after comparing the efficient reference sets. Malmquist analysis shows the similar results like CCR and BCC models. Sunkwang Logistics, Pantos Logistics, and Dongbang Logistics have shown the highest and the increased malmquist indices.
