We used the passive diffusion samplers that are known to be very useful to measure the concentration of air pollutants with respect to the spatial distributions. In this study, we estimated the badge type passive sampler which is evaluation of accuracy and precision and badge type passive sampler is used for the measurement of S0₂ and N0₂ in Pohang, Kunsan, Daejeon industrial complex monthly. Concentration and spatial distribution survey are presented during I years. For SO₂ and NO₂ passive sampler, we made additional two blank samplers for each compound with the passive samplers for the actual measurement. The results of blank test shows that NO₂ is O.29ppb, SO₂ is O.55ppb on basis of the month. Using the results measured at the same places as TMS (telemetering system) sites, the accuracy of the passive sampler could be checked. The measurement data with passive sampler was time weighted average concentration for a month. So, it might be difficult to compare two data directly. Although the correlation between the results of passive sampler and TMS data were not appeared so high, the applicability of passive sampler would be acceptable considering that these data were produced in uncontrolled experiment environment. Monthly variations of average SO₂ concentration in three industrial complex areas was compared. The average SO₂ concentration in Pohang and Kunsan area was appeared to be higher than Daejeon area because Pohang and Kunsan area is much bigger than Daeieon area in the magnitude of industrial complex. Also Pohang area was appeared to be higer than Kunsan area because the measurement data in Pohang area included the data inside the factory's lot. Also, the comparison of NO₂ concentration in each site shows that NO₂ near busy road is higher than residential area and industrial area. It is considered that the measurement of air pollutant using passive sampler is suitable for the areas such as industrial complex widely.
