Chung-min-gong Lee doh chul’s patriotism(殉國精神) and Jecheon

In 1895, They formed an organization around Lee Doh Chul and Im Choi Soo in revenge for Queen Myung-Sung who was assassinated by japanese killers (they called El-Mi-Oe-Ran) and the incarceration of Emperor Go-Jong, that is so called Chun Sang Gate insurrection. The insurrection supporters assaulted through the Chun-Sang Gate of Kyung-Bock Palace was in vain, the leaders were arrested and a lots of participators condemned to death but it was the endeavor for a spirit of national salvation and a legitimate sovereignty. When Leaders of Chun-Sang Gate insurrection was arrested they would not implicate the King even though they moved by the terms of King's secrete Royal decree. They died chivalrously. After all Emperor Go Jong bestowed Chung-Min Gong for the sake of his loyalty and ordered memorial service at Jang-Chung-Dan-Sa, So he was appraised appropriately at that time already.
