Adolescents’ Self-Efficacy according to Parents-Adolescent Communication Time and Communication Styles

The purpose of this study was to analyse the difference of adolescent's self-efficacy according to parentsadolescent communication time and communication styles. The samples were 285 adolescents from Kwangju City. For statistical analysis, Cronbach'α, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe's multiple Comparison Analysis, and LSD method were used. The results were summarized as follow: First, there were significant differences in the degree of adolescent's self-efficacy according to parents-adolescent communication time and communication styles. Second, father's open communication style showed a significant difference on adolescent's self-efficacy.
