The Influence of Family-of-Origin Experiences on Acceptance of Family Diversity and Perspective of Marriage in College Students

The purposes of present study were to investigate the general trends of college students' acceptance of family diversity and perspective of marriage, and to examine how family-of-origin experiences influence acceptance of family diversity and perspective of marriage. The subjects were 268 college students living in Gwangju·Chonnam. The major findings were as follow; 1. Acceptance of family diversity was higher than that of antecedents researches. 2. Acceptance of family diversity was positively related age, family life satisfaction, and family functioning. 3. On the result of analysis, age and family functioning influenced the perspective of marriage.
