A Case Study on the Management of Community Child Center in Gwang-Ju Metropolitan City

The purposes of this study were to investigate the problems in managing community child centers in Gwang-Ju metropolitan city and to offer some political suggestions for the problem. Teachers and directors from three community child centers participated in this study. They were asked to complete questionnaires regarding general information about their community child center. Also, they were interviewed about center's finances, management, and specific programs. The results are as follows. The number of community child center and support of government are steadily on the rise. Although general running conditions of community child centers were similar among centers, some had their unique condition. Five themes(supporting fund, send teacher, programs, volunteer, and community child center user) were summarized and discussed to improve the quality of community child center.
