A Comparative Analysis on 2011 S/S Street Fashion Color Between Seoul and Hong Kong

This thesis aims to compare and analyze the characteristics of the color trend in Seoul and Hongkong by investigating the street fashions in those cities in 2011 Summer in the context of top, bottoms, one-piece dress and accessories. The method of the study was in two ways ie, paper study and practical approach. The sources of the papers was from the articles and books about the color and colorcoordination, periodicals and internet materials, the traits and trend of the color in 2011 Summer being outlined, while the costume color in women in their twenties and thirties was also studied in those cities by the pictures directly taken by us in a practical sense. Conclusively, the costume color in the street fashion of Seoul and Hongkong showed the similarity of color preferences with slight difference in the respective frequency, and was far from the general color choices in women's street fashion. The achromatic color in top was dominant in both cites. The white took a major position in a frequency of 35.7%, 29.2% in Seoul and Hongkong respectively. The black was prevalent in bottom, in a those of 33.2%, 35.1% in Seoul and Hongkong respectively. The category of Multi was popular in one-piece dress, in those of 38.4%. 50.8% in Seoul and Hongkong respectively. Regarding the accessories, bags and shoes, the achromatic color of black was of the main position in both cities while the preferences for the muli-color was different in theses cities. Lastly, the general preferences showed similarity, with high affinity for the achromatic color compared with the chromatic one in a ratio of 6.6:3.4 in both cities as the black and white was of the outstanding proportion.
