The alternatives of family policy focusing on changes and diversity of Korean families

The purpose of this study was to suggest the alternatives of family policy focusing on changes and diversity of Korean families through the analysis about family related statistics and characteristics of diverse family types. The results of this study are as follows: Korean families have been changed on the aspects of family members. types and structure. Also low marriage rate. birthrate and high divorce late bring the diverse family types like as single-parent. remarried. grandparents-children families. For overcoming of family problems and enhancing the quality of life of family members. systematic family policies for restructuring of family function and integrating family support are needed. In developing of integrated family policy. investigating of identity of healthy family ideology. renewal of multi-cultural concepts around family must be basic strategy for especially realizing of family community.
