A study of the satisfaction of the electric live wire worker’s flame resistant work clothes

The purpose of this study was to examine the satisfaction of the electric live wire worker's flame resistant(FR) work clothes. Korea Electronic Power Corporation distributes summer and winter FR work clothes to workers. Summer FR work clothes of KEPCO were chosen to survey and 59 questionnaires were used to examine the satisfaction of FR work clothes. And 5 point Lickertis scale was used in the survey. Dissatisfaction factors of FR work clothes are design. protective function. material. size. motion function. The size of FR work clothes (1.8) is the lowest factor. New size system is needed for the workers. Next lower factor is design(2.1), Design has to be changed from present style to futuristic style. Decoloration. dust absorption and contamination is the problem of the material(2.2), Material can be changed into better one to meet dissatisfaction while maintaining the basic function. Low physical suitability can be solved by making new size system. which is varied. and the new size must be applied to pattern. Meanwhile. motion function has the low satisfaction like physical suitability. Unsatisfactory design factor has to be changed to make higher satisfaction of motion function. This research can be used to improve present FR work clothes as a basic information. and hopely, KEPCO can do the role as a leader for distributing better FR work clothes in the future.
