랑시에르의 교육관이 학력양극화 해결에 주는 시사점

Ranciére’s Educational Thoughts and the Resolution to the Academic Performances Divided

이 연구의 목적은 랑시에르의 교육관을 분석하여 학력양극화의 해결 단서를 얻는 것이다. 랑시에르에 따르면, 지능불평등관에 기반을 두고 전개되는 교육은 교사의 설명을 중심으로 전개되고, 학생은 주체적으로 사고하지 못하는 예속적 인간으로서 ‘바보’가 되며, ‘치안’으로 작동하여 기존의 사회구조를 고착화 시킨다. 따라서 랑시에르는 지능평등관에 입각하여 교육이 전개되어야 하는 바, 이럴 경우 교사는 학생에게 자세한 설명을 하려하지 않고, 그 대신 학생들의 학습의지를 자극하게 되며, 교사로부터 설명 아닌 의지의 자극을 받은 학생은 자신의 지능을 교재와의 관계맺음에 투입하는 형태로 자기주도적 학습에 임한다. 그리고 이 같은 지능평등관을 기반으로 하여 전개되는 교육은 학생으로 하여금 ‘해방’의 상태에 들게하고, 피교육자가 주체적으로 감성을 재분할하여 자신의 정당한 몫을 찾아 갖는 ‘정치’의 것이 된다. 지능평등관에 입각해서 하위권 학생이 자신의 지적 능력에 대한 신뢰를 가진 상태에서, 교사가 북돋아주는 학습의지를 가지고, 학습활동에 주체적으로 임하게 하는 형태의 교육여야만 학력양극화 및 사회양극화는 극복될 수 있다.

The purposes of this study is to analyse Jacques Ranciére’s educational thoughts, and to obtain ideas for solving problem as academic achievement divided of South Korea from Ranciére’s educational thoughts. In Ranciére, Education based on view of intelligence inequality, as teacher’s intelligence is higher than student’s one, causes teachers to kindly explain students educational matters in classes, and let student expect and listen the well organized explanations of highly intelligent teacher. And the students that have taken a class like this are going to become the fool who are not able to initially and positively think and behavior in the long run. Ranciére argues that teachers have to be ignorant on basis of view of intelligence equality, and only stimulate student’s will to study. This is because that ignorant teachers are not going to explain subject matters, and let students initially study with his textbook in complete concentration that based on confidence with their intelligence. And the students that have learned from like this teachers are going to become the emancipated person who are able to initially and positively think and behavior in the long run. In Ranciére’ educational thought, we have to take the view of intelligence equality in order to solve academic achievement divided problem. The emancipated only has an ability and a will to come up against social divided problem including the academic achievement divided, and finally to overcomes these problems.
