An Analysis on use and Need of Social Education Programs for Adult Women Living in Kwangju

The purposes of this research were to investigate adult women’s use conditions and needs of social education programs, to examine the effects of related variables, and to propose the developmental alternatives. To study these objectives, the data were obtained through 1.024 adult women living in Kwangju. The major findings were as follows: 1) Adult women most frequently used the programs of interests topics and they mostly need the programs of child rearing and health topics. Also more practical methods and contents were demanded. 2) The frequency of participation and needs of further education were significantly related with demographic variables. Conclusively, the contents, methods, structure of social education program for adult women must be altered for development of women’s status and consciousness.
