This study was to investigate the cognition and response to the middle school students who was being grown up and being matured psychologically when they watch sexual stuff on TV. The study also analyzed the differences of these variables. The participants were 477 girls and boys who are the second and the third grade in the middle school students in Gwang-ju. They were asked to complete a questionnaire which was composed of each questions the general specifics, the general trend of watching TV and the reaction when they watch sexualities on TV. The data were analyzed with frequency, percentage, mean, StD and Chi-square using SAS program. The findings of this study were as follows. In general they watched TV for about 2~3 hours during the weekdays and 4~5 hours during the weekends. They spent most of their free time watching TV. They liked to watch Korean popular song programs, show programs, comedies and animation in order. They wanted to watch them only for fun. Their parents’ attitude about watching TV showed significant difference according scholarly attainment. The students only wanted to imitate the entertainer’s appearance. Most female students answered that they are getting learn sex education through TV. While most male students answered that they are getting to recognize what they don’t know. Many students thought sexual TV programs to be interested and useful but sometimes harmful. They felt sexual impulse after watching the TV program’s sexual stuff especially for male students. It was evident that sexual scene on TV greatly effects on young student. Middle school students spent time watching TV while they didn’t talk with their parents very much. Some students didn’t have a good relationship with their family. They didn’t feel well, so they were not stable in mind.
