A Study on the Crisis-consciousness of Middle Aged Woman and Its Related Variables

The purposes of this study were to investigate the general tendencies of the middle aged women’s crisis-consciousness and the related variables, to analyze the differences and relationships between crisis-consciousness and each variables and to find the influences of variables on it. This study was analysed through the sample of 346 middle aged women who are between 40-60 years old living in Daejeon. The major findings of this study are summarized in the following. The means of crisis-consciousness were higher than medium level and related variables were comparatively below median level. The scores of crisis-consciousness were different significantly according to family income and religion especially. Also its were affected by self-esteem, marital satisfaction and aging preparations. So, personal, marital and social support system must be cooperated for improving of wellbeing of middle aged women.
