유아교육실습을 위한 교수매체 제작 및 활용에 대한 현황과 실습지도 교사의 요구

An analysis of cooperating kindergarten teachers' perception and requests on student teachers' production and application of instructional media in practice teaching

본 연구는 유아교육실습을 위한 교수매체 제작 및 활용에 대한 현황과 실습지도 교사의 요구를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울•경기지역의 실습지도 경험이 있는 유치원 교사 101명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 설문조사에 응한 교사 중 9명을 선정하여 면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실습생들의 교수매체 제작 및 활용 현황에 대하여 조사한 결과 실습지도 교사들은 실습생들에게 교육활동에 따라 적합한 교수매체를 직접 제작하여 활용하도록 하였으며, 실습생들이 제작한 교수매체의 개수는 그들이 수행한 교육활동의 수보다는 적었다. 둘째, 실습생의 교수매체 제작에 대한 개선점에 대하여 실습지도 교사들은 실습생들이 유아의 발달과 교육적 목적을 고려하여 안전하고 견고한 교수매체를 제작할 뿐만 아니라 창의적이고 융통성 있는 활용을 할 수 있기를 원하였다. 실습지도 교사들은 실습 전에 준비해야 할 점으로 교수매체 제작과 자료수집에 대해 좀 더 적극적인 태도로 임하기를 원하였고, 교수매체 제작을 위한 다양한 자료를 미리 준비하기를 원하였다. 또한 교수매체의 적절한 활용을 위하여 유아 발달에 대한 폭넓은 이해와 상호작용에 대한 준비를 할 것을 요구하였다. 대학교육에서 교수매체 제작 및 활용을 위해 보충해야 할 점으로는 계획안 지도와 유치원의 상황을 고려한 모의수업, 교수매체 제작 및 활용에 대한 다양한 평가 등을 요구하였으며, 특히 창의적인 교수매체 제작을 위해 기존 교구의 장⋅단점 분석, 제한된 재료를 활용한 창의적인 교구 제작 및 분석 등을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze cooperating kindergarten teachers' perception and requests on student teachers' production and application of instructional media in practice teaching. For the study, 101 cooperating kindergarten teachers were surveyed on the issues and 9 of them were interviewed for further investigation. The results of the study are as follows: First, most cooperating kindergarten teachers urged the student teachers to make and use their own instructional media in practice teaching. The number of instructional media the student teachers used was smaller than the number of instructional media the student teachers made. Second, the cooperating kindergarten teachers made some suggestions to improve student teachers' production and application of instructional media for practice teaching. They suggested that student teachers needed to consider the purpose of education, safeness, durability, creativeness, and flexibility of application when they made or chose instructional media. The teachers also made some suggestions for the preparation of early childhood teachers. They wanted universities or colleges to have more practical experiences in producing and applying instructional media which have more connection between theory and practice. They also wanted more thorough assessment and feedback on students' use of instructional media.
