한국평생교육 연구와 실천에 대한 비판적 성찰

A Critical Reflection on Korean Lifelong Education Research and Practice - From the Sung-Ki-Sung-Mool Perspective -

본 연구는 성기성물(成己成物)”(나를 이룸은 만물을 이룸과 맏물려 있다) 가치의 관점에서 한국평생교육의 연구와 실천을 비판적으로 성찰함을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법과 내용은 성기성물 가치를 개념화하고, 이 관점에서 한국교육 연구 및 실천 현황을 메타분석하며, 성기성물 가치구현을 위한 평생교육 실천 및 연구과제를 제시한다. 현대사회는 생태·사회·경제적 측면에서 생명 위험요소가 급증하고 있음에도 이에 대한 교육학적 관심은 희소하므로 대안적 가치정립과 그 구현이 요구된다. 본 연구는 삶의 질 향상을 위한 평생교육은 위험사회의 징후들을 민감하게 다루어야 하며, 실천을 위해 정치, 윤리, 교육학의 트릴로지에 주목하고, 개인중심의 인지학습만이 아닌 공동체 지향의 정서와 심미적 교육실천의 중요성을 논의한다. 문화향유를 지향한 생활, 예술, 사회문화의 융합과 창조적 재구성 방안모색의 필요성과 개인능력개발의 원자론적 인간관이 아닌 연대적 인간관에 입각한 사회문화 역량강화 평생교육 연구의 필요성을 논의한다.

This study aims to make a critical reflection on Korean lifelong education research and practice from the sung-ki-sung-mool value perspective. To achieve this purpose, this research study reviewed previous studies on social problems and Korean education research and practice using meta analysis and investigate the future directions of lifelong education. Korean educational research rarely deals with the social and political problems and issues. The dualism between cognitive and aesthetic learning in Korean education strongly guided schooling and reveals many problems. This study emphasize that the Politics and Education should be related in terms of 'convergence'. The findings of this study imply that the value of sung-ki-sung-mool recommended as an ideal educational practice and the connected view of human being identified desirable rather than the atomic view of human being. Also the integration and reconstruction of art and social culture is urgently required to achieve quality lifelong education research and practice.
