An image inherent in a certain place becomes an important standard for selection when a tourist tries to select a tourist attraction. It is therefore important to determine the image of a fishing village as the target tourism attraction in developing the area in the future. This study investigated relations between images of a fishing village as the target tourism attraction by categorizing components of cognition and emotional images with the objective of subdividing the analysis of sightseeing places in fishing villages. These images are closely associated with value creation of local brands. Since the cognitive images of tourists in fishing villages for the hardware environment of the areas significantly affect their emotional images, it is necessary to devise diverse, positive, community-based measures to improve the images and brand values of the villages.
