국제물류로서 중국철도 이용의 가능성에 관한 사례연구

A Case Study for Feasibility of China Railway as an available alternative for International Logistics

최근 아시아 각국은 경제성장과 함께 철도인프라의 확충과 이를 효율적으로 운영하려는 노력을 경주하고 있다. 그동안 이 지역의 국제운송은 도로 혹은 장거리의 경우는 해상을 중심으로 이루어졌으나, 최근 절도망의 확충에 따라 철도를 통한 국제운송의 가능성이 부각되고 있으며, 운송이 현실화되고 있다. 그 동인 동아시아의 국제절도운송은 한국과 일본에서 유럽으로 수송할 경우 TSR과 TCR 등을 통한 수송이 주를 이루었다. 본 논문에서는 최근의 중국철도망의 확충에 따른 국제철도망으로서의 중국철도의 역할과 이용가능성을 사례분석을 통하여 살펴보고자 한다. 특히 한국기업의 중국진출 등으로 인하여 중국철도를 이용한 국제철도망을 활용하고자 하는 노력들이 나타나고 있는데, 이에 본 연구에서는 중국 쑤저우에서 유럽으로 화물을 수송할 경우, 가능한 경로대안에 대한 분석을 통하여 중국철도를 이용한 유럽대륙으로의 수송가능성에 대하여 분석하였으며, 기존 운송노선과 비교할 때 충분한 타당성이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Recent economic growth in East Asian counties has brought expansion of rail infrastructure and efforts toward operational efficiency. This growth includes the rapid economic growth in China and East Asia overall increasing the importance of international freight transport. Historically, the region’s international shipping platform had been road or sea. However, expansion of railway networks, in accordance with the possibility of international transport by rail, has emerged Meanwhile, if transport from Korea and Japan to Europe were included, East Asia’s international rail transport networks would comprise TSR and TCR mostly. In this paper, recent expansion of China’s rail network toward an international rail network and the role of the Chinese railway will be discussed through case studies. Analysis of case studies will include Samsung Electronics in Suzhou, China freight transport to Europe and the possibilities and existing uses of rail access of the TCR.
