가락시장은 보다 효율적인 도매시장으로 도약하기 위해 지난해 6월 시설현대화사업을 착공하였다. 본 사업은 유통인이 시장에서 영업을 하면서 추진하는 방식으로 대체매장과 건설공사에 따른 여유 공간이 필요한 특수상황에서 제주 농산물의 출하를 기존 컨테이너에서 파렛트로 전환하는 방식을 도입해 물류비 절감을 위한 새로운 물류경로 모색과 경로 모색 전후와 비교하여 물류비를 진단ㆍ분석하고자 하였다. 제주 무ㆍ양배추의 단순 컨테이너 시장 출하와 관련한 제반 문제의 검토와 분석 및 도매시장의 물류 효율화와 시스템 개선 방안을 살펴보는 것은 연구의 의의가 있다고 사료된다. 본 연구는 제주 무ㆍ양배추의 출하 현황과 문제점의 파악을 위해 제주 산지부터 제주항을 거쳐 부산 감천항, 부산항에서 가락시장에 도달하기까지의 출하경로를 중심으로 이를 운송하는 기존 컨테이너를 대체한 파렛트 출하 시범사업 추진(’11년 3월 21~5월 4일에 이르는 3차 현장조사)결과 분석을 토대로 출하체계의 문제점 파악 및 개선 방안을 강구하는 데 있다. 제주 무의 파렛트 출하에 따른 새로운 물류경로 모색과 기존노선 대비 신노선의 물류비 비교분석, 파렛트 출하에 따른 가락시장의 효율적 공간 활용과 하역기계화 등의 물류효율화 방안을 고찰하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다.
This study is to analyze farmers’ shipping pattern of agricultural products from Jeju Province. It focuses on logistics efficiency and system improvement in forwarding cleaned radish and cabbages from Jeju Province to Garak Wholesale Market. For this study, agro-logistics department of Seoul Agricultural & Marine Products Corporation researched shipping channel from Jeju province to Garak Wholesale Market. Since palletized load system is more efficient than the previous (established) container in forwarding cleaned radish and cabbages from Jeju Province, this research(scenario) switched the container forwarding to palletized load system. Several economic effects of this research(scenario) have been settled as follows; ① Reducing logistics cost by revitalization of the shuttle and linkup transportation and the shipping scale-up projects using heavy traffic of 25ton : existing container shipping vs palletized load system(D agenda) ② Alleviating the space lack problem of auction area in Garak wholesale market a mechanization of the loading and unloading and install of pallet rack in auction area ③ Reducing cost of transportation and prolonged truck loading by unloading pallet in auction area by improving logistics efficiency through palletizing ④ Expanding facilities of collection, delivery and storage for a new logistics environment in Garak Wholesale Market ⑤ Providing prompt and various distribution information of a high quality
