The Leadership Model of Conscious Technology Times & the Direction of Global Education

의식기술 시대의 인재상과 인류 교육의 방향

인류의 문명은 농경시대, 산업시대, 정보시대를 거쳐 의식기술의 시대로 향하고 있다. 의식기술은 통섭, 융합, 인문학과 자연과학의 조화, 과학기술과 영성의 조화를 포괄하는 개념이다. 바이오(BT), 나노(NT), 인포(IT), 커그노(CT), 에코(ET), 지오(GT) 등이 지식, 감정, 의지, 행동으로 이어지는 일련의 과정이라 할 수 있는 의식의 흐름과 결합하여 인류의 문명을 빠르게 변화시킬 것으로 전망된다. 다가오는 의식기술의 시대는 새로운 인재상을 요구하게 될 것이다. 따라서 교육은 의식기술 시대에 부응하는 인재상을 설정하고 이를 바탕으로 국가수준의 교육이 아닌 지구촌 수준의 인류교육 방향을 제시할 필요가 있다. 이 논문은 이와 같은 거대 담론을 위해 미래 전망을 위한 전제조건들을 살펴보고, 과학기술의 발달에 따른 미래 사회를 전망해본 다음, 미래 교육의 방향과 미래 인재상을 설정한 후, 이에 적절한 인류 교육의 방향을 제안하기 위하여 추진되었다. 미래 인재상은 선언적 인재상과 실천적 인재상으로 구분하였다. 선언적 인재상에서는 집단 지성에 기반을 둔 홍익인간형 인재상으로 국가나 지구촌 차원을 넘어 범우주적 차원으로 그 개념을 확대할 필요가 있음을 강조하였으며, 실천적 인재상에서는 다산과 간디의 사상 고찰과 의식기술의 발달을 고려하여 이타심과 도덕심을 겸비한 인재, 통찰력을 지난 인재, 과학과 인문 및 과학기술과 영적능력이 조화로운 인재, 생각 에너지를 개발하고 활용할 수 있는 인재, 열정적이면서 평화를 수호할 수 있는 인재, 토론 및 소통능력을 갖춘 인재, 자기 주도적인 학습능력과 인내심을 갖춘 인재상을 제안하였다. 그리고 교사의 역할변화를 전망하고 교육내용의 구성 방향을 제시하였으며, 학생, 기업, 정부의 관점에서 고등교육의 미래 시나리오와 방향을 제시하였다.

Human civilization is going through agricultural era, industrial age, information age to conscious-technology times Conscious-technology covers consilience, fusion, convergence, harmony of humanities with science, harmony of religion with science, etc. Today’s trend is the blending the stream of consciousness with the technologies such as biology (BT), nano (NT), information (IT), cognitive (CT), geo-spatial (GT), ecology (ET). It is expected to lead the rapid change of the human civilization. Also we live in the times of technological change. These times will be required to a new model of future leadership. Therefore, education is needed to set up a model of future leadership we should offer the direction of global education and not national education based on this. This study focuses on the review of literature about future leadership model and the suggestion about the direction of global education. These reviewed articles were performed in ‘the delphi method’ or ‘real-time delphi’ of Theodore J. Gordon, ‘the futures wheel’ of Gerom C. Glenn, and ‘Fan Scenario Approach’ of Willis W. Harmen. The main contexts of this study This article is comprised of the review on a prerequisite for the future prospect, the foresight of future society by the development of technology, and then setting up a direction of future education with a model of future leadership, the suggestion on a direction of global education in conclusion for such a huge discourse. The future leadership model was classified with comprehensive and practical leadership. Comprehensive leadership was suggested the universal beyond globalism with nationalism, and it was also proposed the collective intelligence. Practical leaderships was suggested altruism, morality, insight, consilience of science & liberal arts, harmony of science & religion, a powerful thinking energy, sustainable environment with peace, communication and discussion, energizer leadership & performance ability, ability of self directed learning, willpower, and boundless imagination Consequently, all of these can be summarized into human peace with sustainable globe based on the cooperative ability. The direction of human education was proposed to the needs of common multiple intelligence for career decision, the change of teachers’ role and direction of contents organization in public school, and last future scenario of university in a view point of students, enterprise, government.
