레이저 조각을 활용한 관광기념품 디자인 개발 연구

A Study on the Development of Souvenir Utilizing Laser Engraving

관광기념품은 여행 중 구입하는 상품으로 여행의 감흥을 오랫동안 느끼게 하며 타인에게 전달케 하는 기능을 한다. 이들 상품은 지역의 천연자연 및 문화를 소재로 표현되고 지역의 재료 및 전통기법, 현대화된 신기술을 사용하여 관광기념품으로 개발되고 있다. 전통적 소재와 재료, 기법에 의하여 제작된 지역특화 관광기념품도 중요하지만 관광객의 새로운 욕구 충족을 위한 신재료 및 기법을 활용한 전통과 현대가 조화된 상품의 개발도 중요하다. 본 연구에서 레이저 평면조각의 시각적 극대화를 위한 무늬목, 금속박, 한지, 특수지 등을 융합한 적층기법의 재료 및 기법을 개발하고, 레이저조각 표현 이미지로 사진이나, 전통문양을 어도브 포토샵(Adobe Photoshop)에 의한 최적 변형시켜 이를 적층재료에 레이저조각하여 새로운 효과의 엽서, 책갈피, 액자 등 기타 관광기념품을 개발하고자 한다.

Souvenirs visitors usually buy during a travel functionally have them feel the impression of the travel for a long time and deliver the feeling to others. Such souvenirs utilize the local nature and culture as the subjects and are being developed by using the local materials, traditional techniques or newly modernized technology. It is important that a souvenir is manufactured by using traditional materials, subjects and techniques but more importantly, a souvenir is also to be developed by using both new materials and techniques to meet new desires/trends of travelers while the tradition and the modern are well harmonized. The study is intended to develop the laminating method and material converging chips, metal foil, Hanji(Korean traditional paper) and special paper, laser-engraving photos or traditional patterns, which are optimally transformed by Abobe Photoshop, onto the materials and develop a new concept of souvenirs such as postcard, bookmark, picture frame and etc.
