The Study to Investigate the Recognition of Residents for Urban Renewal Project in Seoul

The purpose of this study is to investigate the recognition and actual condition for urban renewal project in Seoul. 33.4% of respondents had lived in his house, 66.6 percent lived in rental housing. By income grade 1 to 5, the number of low-income residents accounted for 80.2%. The PIR 8.18, RIR was the 8.78 level. In the owner of the house, numbers of household member are 2.17 people. In the rental house, numbers of household member are 3.57people. The residents of single family house are 41.9%, the residents of apartment unit in a private house are 27.8%, and the residents of multiple dwellings are 25.3%. Looking at internal and external environment of housing satisfaction, the owner of the house are 3.15 level, the residents of the rental house are 2.75 level. The 58.0% residents of General area and the 63.6% residents of renewal project area reorganized that the renewal projects have seen a lot of the problem. The owner of house preferred average 101.32㎡, the residents of rental house wants to live average 72.15㎡. Based on the results of this survey, I proposed policy ideas for urban renewal project in Seoul.
