The prime purpose of this study is to empirically examine the relationship between organizational service-orientation and organizational effectiveness in manufacturing and service industries. The sample comprised of 331 employees who are working at large companies in manufacturing industry (136 samples) and service industry (195 samples). The study result showed the level of service-orientation is related to organizational commitment more significantly than job satisfaction. Also the individual characteristics such as gender, age, job level, service year and industry are related significantly to organizational service-orientation Implication for the theory and practice leadership are discussed and future research directions are also suggested.
