이번 연구는 국어교육에서 사회 방언 교육의 중요성을 알고 이를 효과적으로 교수-학습할 수 있는 교과서 구현 방안을 마련하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이에 이번 연구에서는 사회 방언의 개념을 명확히 한 후, 국어과 교육과정과 교과서를 중심으로 사회 방언의 교육 현황과 교육 효과를 파악하여 사회 방언 교육의 기초를 설정하였다. 다음으로 사회 방언 교육이 국어교육에 온전하게 자리 잡을 수 있도록 사회 방언의 교육 내용을 확립하였다. 이후 이러한 성과를 바탕으로 사회 방언이 드러나 있는 텍스트를 중심으로 사회 방언 교육이 실행될 수 있도록 다양한 영역이 통합적으로 구현되는 교과서 구현 양상을 구체적으로 보여 사회 방언 교육의 실현 가능성을 점검하였다.
The purpose of this research is to know the importance of teaching social dialect in language education and find out effective methods that make it possible to embody social dialect teaching in the textbooks. Hence, having made the concept of social dialect clear, this research grasped the present state and effects of social dialect teaching in the curricula and textbooks of Korean language, and based its foundations on that. Next, this research established the contents of social dialect teaching so that it could firmly take its root in Korean language education. Thereafter, with the above achievements, this research scrutinized the possibility of the realization of social dialect teaching by concretely showing integrated embodiment of diverse fields of social dialect teaching in order for it to be practiced with the textbooks containing social dialects.
