Evaluation of Ecotourism Quality

Ecotourism has been steadily studied and acknowledged the major issues in the tourism academics and the tourists in the world since 1980s. Until now, there have been three ecotourism issues including the ecotourist’s behavior, the development alternatives of tourism for ecotourist and the factors affected on the ecotourism.. In this present study, the ecotourism quality assessed by the ecotourist is the major issued . Based on the documentary research from the definition of ecotourism, the ecotourism quality, the evaluation of ecotourism quality, factors of ecotourism quality, the empirical study was followed by the questionnaire. The 287 usable questionnaires were collected from the Seoulforest and Dream Forest in Seoul by a self-administered survey. The results reveal that the factors of ecotourism which the preservation, experience, authenticity, maintenance, availability of ecotourism are analyzed by factor analysis, and the relationship have the ecotourism quality with the overall ecotourism quality, tourist’s satisfaction, tourist’s revisit, the mouth-of-word of tourist by regression analysis. Therefore the ecotourist and managers were concerned with the factors of ecotourism above mentioned. Especially community residents and ecotourism manager have to manage the full factors to maintain and use of the ecotourism in the destination.
