Characteristics of Middle Aged Households with Retirement Plan

The purpose of this study was to find the characteristics of middle aged households with retirement plan. One hundred thirty five subjects with retirement plan and householder age 50 to 59 were selected from 2007 KRelS(Korean Retirement and Income Survey). Analysis method such as t-test and χ²-test were utilized. The major findings were as follows. First, the middle aged households with retirement plan showed higher education, more office workers, higher levels of asset, income, expenditure than those with non-retirement plan. Furthermore, the middle aged households with retirement plan showed better prepared for later years than the counterpart.
