유아교사를 위한 계속교육의 의미와 경로

A Meaning and Paths of Continuing Education for Kindergarten Teachers

본 연구는 유아교육의 질적 향상의 핵심 요인인 유아교사의 전문성 함양과 학력 고양을 위한 교사교육의 일환으로 유아교사를 위한 계속교육의 개념을 정립하고 활성화시키는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 평생교육 및 현직교육과의 관계 속에서 계속교육의 일반적 의미를 탐색하였으며, 이를 유아교사의 계속교육 의미로 재 개념화함과 동시에 유아교사를 위한 계속교육의 당위성을 설명하였다. 마지막으로 유아교사를 위한 우리나라 계속교육의 경로를 탐색하여 봄으로써 유아교사의 전문성 함양과 학위취득의 구체적 방법을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to establish a concept of continuing education, and to activate it for kindergarten teachers in early childhood education settings who graduated from a junior college. For this, a general meaning of continuing education was investigated in relation with life-long education and in-service education. Based on a general meaning of continuing education, a specific meaning of it for kindergarten teacher was re-conceptualized with what it should be. By investigating paths of continuing education for kindergarten teacher in Korea, it was presented the ways that improve professionality, and acquire a bachelor's degree for kindergarten teachers.
