유치원 교사가 인식하는 계속교육에 대한 예비연구

A Preliminary Study on Perception of Kindergarten Teacher's Continuing Education

본 연구는 우리나라 유치원 교사의 절대 다수를 차지하고 있는 전문대학을 졸업한 현직 유치원 교사의 계속교육을 통한 학사학위 취득에 관한 인식을 조사하고, 이를 바탕으로 전문대학 출신 유치원 교사의 학력 고양을 통한 유아교육의 질적 향상의 단초를 제공하고자 실시되었다. 이를 위하여 2008년 11월 경기도 P시의 전문대학 출신 유치원 교사 92명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 교사들은 계속교육을 통한 학사학위취득의 필요성을 인식하고 있었고, 이것이 교사들의 자신감 향상 및 정체성확립에 도움이 될 것이라 여겼으며, 궁극적으로 우리나라 유아교육의 질적 향상에 영향을 미칠 것이라고 응답하였다.

The purpose of this preliminary study was to investigate on perception of kindergarten teachers' continuing education which is related to an acquisition of a bachelor' degree, and to give a clue to improve quality of early childhood education in this country. For this, the subjects were 92 kindergarten teachers in P City of the Kyung-gi Province who graduated from junior college. The results of this study were as follows: kindergarten teachers perceived that acquisition of a bachelor's degree by continuing education would be needed and positively influence to kindergarten teachers' self-confidence and identity, and finally improve a quality of early childhood education in our country.
