어머니의 자녀교육관이 유아의 자아존중감에 미치는 영향

본 연구의 목적은 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 자녀교육관이 자녀의 자아존중감에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보는데 있다. 또한 어머니들의 교육관의 경향성을 파악하고, 유아의 자아 존중감 형성에 필요한 어머니로서의 역할을 정립하는 기초자료를 확보하고자 어머니의 교육관과 유아의 자아존중감의 관계를 살펴보았다. 연구의 결과에 따르면 어머니의 유아 중심적 교육관이 유아의 자아존중감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 어머니의 올바른 자녀교육관 확립을 위해 어머니교육 프로그램의 개발이 필요하고, 지속적인 어머니교육이 이루어져야 한다고 생각한다.

The purpose of this study is to identify how mothers’ views on education of young children effect on the relationship of their child rearing attitudes and the child's selfesteem. This research aims at acknowledging the tendency of mothers’ views on education as well as rearing attitudes, working out their roles to help building up child’s selfesteem, and to provide the basic data for effective educational programs for parents. The results of the study are summarized as follows: The relationship between mothers’ views on education of young children and rearing attitudes, showed positive correlation, meaning the more child oriented education mothers pursue, the more affectionate and autonomous their rearing attitudes become. The relationship between mothers’ views on education of young children and the child's self-esteem, did not show meaningful correlation. The relationship between mothers’ rearing attitudes and the child's selfesteem did not show meaningful correlation. Mothers’ participants were divided into three groups from low to high depending on the marks of their views on education, and each group has been surveyed in terms of how parents’ views on education as well as their rearing attitudes influence over the child's self-esteem respectively, and the influence of mothers’ views on education to their rearing attitudes. It is summarized that educational program and sustainable education for parents are needed in order to establish mothers’appropriate views on education and rearing attitudes.
