구성주의 과학교육의 경사활동이 유아의 과학적 태도 및 탐구 능력에 미치는 영향: 만 3세아 중심으로

The Effect of Slope Activity in Constructivist Science Education on Children's Scientific Attitude and Scientific Inquiry Ability: Focusing on 3 Year Old Children

본 연구는 유아의 과학적 능력 향상을 위해 물리적 지식활동 중 3세 유아의 발달에 적합한 경사활동을 적용하여 유아의 과학적 탐구능력과 과학적 태도 향상에 어떠한 효과가 있는지 알아보는 것으로 만3세아 10명으로 실험집단 5명, 통제집단 5명유아들을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 결과 첫째, 경사를 이용한 물리적 지식활동에 참여한 실험집단의 유아들은 통제집단의 유아들보다 과학적 탐구능력 점수가 크게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 유아의 과학적 탐구능력 점수는 경사를 이용한 물리적 지식활동에 참여한 사전-사후 점수 증가분의 차이가 실험집단 7.13( SD=1.43), 통제집단 .47( SD=.90)로 실험집단과 통제집단의 점수 차이는 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다 (t(8)=6.67, *** p<.001). 즉 경사를 이용한 물리적 지식활동이 유아의 과학적 탐구 능력 향상에 효과적인 프로그램이었으며. 둘째, 경사를 이용한 물리적 지식활동의 유아의 과학적 태도는 사전-사후 점수 증가분의 차이가 실험집단 7.60( SD=2.27), 통제집단 1.10( SD=1.24)로 실험집단과 통제집단의 점수 차이는 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다(t(8)=5.61, ** p<.001). 즉 경사를 이용한 물리적 지식활동이 유아의 과학적 태도 향상에 과학적 태도 향상에 효과적인 프로그램이었음을 알 수 있다.

For this research, 10 kids of an experimental group and 5 kids of a controlled group age of 3 were observed to find the effect of physical activities using slopes for the purpose of intellectual development on the improvement of kids' scientific inquiry ability and scientific attitude. Firstly, kids in the experimental group showed much higher scientific inquiry ability score compared to the controlled group. Kids' scientific inquiry ability score change before and after the activities using the slope were 7.13( SD=1.43) for experimental group and .47( SD=90) for controlled group respectively and therefore the score difference between the two groups showed statistical significance( t(8)=6.67,*** p<.001). Thus it showed firstly, significant evidence that activities using slopes has positive effect on the scientific inquiry ability and secondly score change before and after the activities using the slope were 7.13( SD=1.43) for experimental group and .47( SD=90) for controlled group respectively and therefore the score difference between the two groups showed statistical significance( t(8)=6.67,*** p<.001). In conclusion, it could be seen that physical activities using slopes for the purpose of intellectual development are effective programs for the improvement of kids' scientific attitude and scientific inquiry ability.
