The Fertile Crescent Region is often called the cradle of civilizations due to the birth of Mesopotamian and Ancient Egyptian civilization. Famous monotheistic religions took place in this Region. Christianity and Islam have been positioned into the mainstream of world religions. And more, Zoroastrianism and many polytheistic religions met monotheistic religions; the new form of mixing phenomena has emerged. It has been called the “syncretism”. The phenomenon of syncretism is also found in the Islam. “Alevi” is a syncretistic religious tradition and constitute the second-largest religious community in Turkey. Alawi is also a syncretistic religious tradition and found in Syria and some Arab countries as a dominant group even though it has minor population than the other religious groups. Two syncretic sects have been studied in Korea individually. In this study, I have combined those research results which have been studied in the perspective of Arab and Turkish. I have clarified two sects as unorthodox Islamic sects which have lots of similarity and some differences
