The purpose of this study was to examine whether dictogloss using animations as the opportunity of output influenced the listening and writing skills of 6th grade students in elementary school including affective sphere. Students were divided into an experimental group and a comparative group, respectively, targeting 2 classes at the 6th grade level at an elementary school located in In-cheon city. The experimental treatment was applied to the English instructions that used dictogloss using animations for the experimental group. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, dictogloss using animations appeared to have positive effects on English listening ability. Not only input but also output encouraged learners to pay attention to language use. Secondly, dictogloss using animations appeared to have positive effects on English writing ability. Comparing procedure between the original scripts and the learners's work sheets helped learners to improve the accuracy on their writings. Thirdly, dictogloss using animations appeared to have positive effects on learners' interest, self-confidence and learning attitude. Furthermore, all levels of the experimental group felt that their listening ability improved.
