This study examined whether the use of online bulletin board system (BBS) for feedback exchange would facilitate Korean primary school students' acquisition of English writing skills and promote positive learning attitudes. Two groups of 5th grade students were asked to use different medium of communication for peer review. The first group used paper copies to exchange feedback whereas the second group used online BBS. Their writing samples were collected at the beginning and at the end of the semester. These samples were then compared in terms of the total number of words and the number of errors of different types. The students were also asked to submit their reflections in learning journals and share their learning experiences via interviews. The findings indicated that the BBS group made significantly fewer errors in punctuation and wrote far more than their counterparts. The BBS group were also found to have positive attitudes about writing and their writing class.
