일반계 고등학생의 진로ㆍ직업 역량이 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Career and Work Competency on Career Preparation Behavior among Students in Academic High Schools- With a Focus on the Mediating Effects of Career Maturity -

본 연구는 일반계 고등학생의 진로 • 직업 역량이 진로준비행동에 영향을 미침에 있어 진로성숙도의 매개효과를 살펴보는 연구이다. 분석에 사용된 자료는 한국청소년정책연구원이 수집한 2009년 한국 청소년 진로 • 직업실태 조사 자료이며, 분석대상은 일반계 고등학교에 재학 중인 2,252명이다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해서는 SPSS 19.0 for Windows와 AMOS 19.0을 이용하여 측정모형 분석과 구조모형 분석을 실시한 후, Sobel 검증을 통한 매개효과 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 진로 • 직업 역량의 하위 요인 중 직업지식은 진로준비행동에 직접적인 영향을 미치지만, 자기에 대한 이해는 진로준비행동에 직접적 영향 을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자기에 대한 이해와 진로준비행동 간에는 결정성, 확신성, 준비성, 독립성 등 진로성숙도의 하위요인 각각이 매개효과를 가지나, 직업지식과 진로준비행동 간에는 결정성만 매개효과를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 같은 연구 결과는 향후 일반계 고등학생의 진로 • 직업 역량 강화에 대한 인적자원관리 분야의 관심이 증대되어야 함을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of career maturity on the influence of career and work competency on career preparation behavior among students attending academic high schools. For that purpose, the investigator analyzed the data on the career and work state of Korean adolescents in 2009 collected by National Youth Policy Institute and 2,252 students attending academic high schools. The investigator then conducted measurement model and structural model analysis with the SPSS 19.0 for Windows and AMOS 19.0 and analyzed mediating effects with the Sobel test. The analysis results were as follows: first, vocational knowledge of the subfactors of career and work competency had direct effects on career preparation behavior, whereas self-understanding had no direct effects on it. Secondly, decisiveness, assertiveness, preparedness, and independence of the subfactors of career maturity each had mediating effects on relations between self-understanding and career preparation behavior, whereas only decisiveness had mediating effects on relations between vocational knowledge and career preparation behavior. Those research findings imply a need for the field of human resources management to take more interest in the career and work competency reinforcement of students in academic high schools.
