A Study on the Changes of Men’s Hairstyle According to Hair Design Elements -Focus on male entertainer from 2001‘s to 2010's-

The purposes of this study are to first subdivide the men’s hairstyles from 2001 to 2010 according to the hair design factors of length, color, fringe and wave and second examine the characteristics and changing status of hairstyles by year based on the first results to review the changes of the Korean men’s hairstyles in the early 21st century according to the flow of the times. This study proceeded with literature review and based on the whole preceding volumes of the GQ Magazine, a total of 300 pictures were collected in order to examine the changes from 2001 to 2010. The results of this study are as follows. First, when it comes to the changes by hair design factor, most of the hair length for the early years from 2001 to 2004 and for the middle years from 2005 to 2007 and for the latter years from 2008 to 2010 was middle but in the middle years, long hair could be seen a lot and in general, long hair was a rather very long. As for hair part, various parts were seen according to styles in all the early, middle and latter years but mostly, natural style direction without a part was a trend. Black was a trend in all the early, middle and latter years for hair color but in the early years, various bright colors such as grey appeared. As per hair fringe, middle length in all the early, middle and latter years was overwhelming. Natural straight hair for hair wave was a trend in all the early, middle and latter years.
