Digital Forensics Approach in Electronic Record Management

Currently, different organizations and individuals store valuable records in digital format .There is also trend of digitalization of physical record such as paper based records. Due to digital nature of electronic record, if they are not preserved in secured Electronic Record Management System (ERMS), they can lose their trustworthiness .Because electronic record can be altered easy. Before electronic record can be used as evidence in legal system, usually there is need of investigation by digital forensic specialist to verify integrity of electronic records. In this paper, we will discuss about relationship between and digital forensic and electronic record management systems.
